AN EXPERT mechanic has warned drivers to stop buying a family favourite car brand as it could end in disaster.
Scotty Kilmer posted a clip to his YouTube channel detailing the “major problems” the popular manufacturer has been experiencing with newer models.
Expert mechanic Scotty Kilmer urged drivers to stop buying new models from Honda[/caption] He said the brand had to recall over 120,000 cars over possible brake failures[/caption]In the video, he advised motorists not to buy the latest cars from Honda, as over 120,000 have had to be recalled over a potential brake fault.
He said: “Well Honda is recalling over 124,000 cars because the brakes might fail.
“Honda used to make really good cars but they’ve been slipping a lot lately.
“They’re missing something now, they’re missing the Japanese quality they usually had.”
According to Scotty, the issue is with the fastener on the brake boosters and can result in a complete system loss.
He added that he suspected the models affected were made outside of Japan and blamed this for the poor quality control.
Anyone who has a recent Honda model from after 2020 and is worried about their car can go online to check if it is part of the recall.
If your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), which can be found on the door frame of the driver’s-side door, matches any on the recall list, contact Honda for further information and do not drive it until the issue is resolved.
Social media commenters were left stunned by the news.
One wrote: “Quality control on modern cars is really bad, Scotty. It’s sad.”
Another added: “Scott can we just say car quality is a thing of the past?
“They are making them disposable to keep people paying.”
It comes after Scotty urged drivers not to buy cars from a popular country over concerns about quality control.
