A CAR expert has revealed a “basic” 1984 Honda with 70 miles on the dash and no air con or radio.
A car review site on TikTok called TFL Studios, which has 1.2million followers, showed off the “brand new” Civic in a short video.
The commentary says: “This is a brand new 1984 Honda Civic with under 70 miles on it and it’s amazing just how basic you could buy these cars.”
He then shows how the retro vehicle has no power locks or power windows.
The central console doesn’t have any air conditioning (heat only) and the radio slot is just a blank panel that says Honda.
“What’s funny is you actually still got the speaker covers but they’re just blank,” he continued.
“There’s nothing in them. It’s even more basic than that. There’s no passenger side mirror at all.”
The reviewer also described how the car doesn’t come with alloy wheels but instead 13 inch steel wheels.
There are black plastic bumpers, sealed beam headlights and a plastic cap where you’d expect an antenna.
And fans were quick to comment on the video, which has received more than a million views and 80,000 likes.
One said: “In this economy they need to start offering basic cars like this again. Although two mirrors for sure.”
Another stated: “They should make cars like this again.”
A third commented: “Definition of beats walking.”
A final person quipped: “Did it come with an engine.”
